Kylie Auldist – Hybrid

Kylie Auldist returns with 'Hybrid', her stunning new album out early 2026. As one of Australia's most unmistakable soul voices, Auldist has built a career on warmth, honesty, and groove - and 'Hybrid' finds her at the height of her creative powers. The songs slip effortlessly between classic soul, modern R&B textures, and '80s funk, but at the heart of it all the album is held together by the power and presence of Auldist's voice. Developed with a trusted circle of musicians she's collaborated with over the past decade, 'Hybrid' leans into their live chemistry and deep musical connection. Rather than building songs piece-by-piece in the studio, the record embraces feel, spontaneity and conversation between players - the sound of musicians who know and inspire each other. Across it's ten tracks, analogue warmth meets contemporary production, creating songs that feel both timeless and firmly rooted in the now. With 'Hybrid', Auldist and her crew continue to expand what soul can be - open-hearted, rhythm-forward and unapologetically authentic. It's an album that reflects an artist completely comfortable in her own skin, unafraid to blur boundaries and to follow feeling over formula. As the third chapter in a body of work that includes 'Family Tree' and 'This Is What Happiness Looks Like', Hybrid is a reminder that soul isn't just a genre, but a conversation - and Kylie Auldist remains one of it's most captivating voices: still experimenting, still evolving, and still having fun.
