Big Freedia – Pressing Onward

Vinyl LP pressing. Before she became internationally known as the Queen of Bounce, Big Freedia went by another name - choir director. In her formative years, Big Freedia served as the choir director for her high school and home church, and developed her love for music performing with the New Orleans Gospel Music Workshop of America, and the New Orleans Gospel Soul Children. On her forthcoming release 'Pressing Onward' - Big Freedia is taking it back to her roots, with a new Gospel album, set for physical release November 21, 2025. My music has always spread messages of love, joy, freedom, and inclusivity. This album is no different." Pressing Onward is a celebration - a vibrant and uplifting non-denominational record, that blends bounce, gospel, soul, and R&B - in a way that only Big Freedia can. "On Pressing Onward, Freedia is creating her own religious experience of sorts - one that marries the powerful peaks and sonorous valleys of gospel with the irrepressible, relentless energy of bounce."- Billboard"
