Crillson – Coming of a New Age

Lost Realm Records is proud to announce the vinyl release of Coming Of A New Age, the long-sought-after debut album from Alaskan heavy/power metal pioneers Crillson! Hailing from the remote town of Glennallen, Alaska, Crillson was formed in 1984 when founding members Chris Craig (drums), Dan Miller (guitar), and Todd Wilson (bass) combined fragments of their surnames to create the band's distinctive name. Performing far from the traditional metal hubs of the era, the group forged a powerful sound rooted in the abundant American heavy metal tradition of the 80s. Their music blends intense power metal with progressive undertones, delivering intricate guitar work, driving rhythms, and commanding high-pitched vocals that evoke the epic grandeur and technical finesse of influences such as QUEENSRŸCHE, JAG PANZER, and FATES WARNING. Coming Of A New Age, originally released on CD in 1993, captures Crillson at their peak: a dynamic collection of tracks characterized by memorable hooks, atmospheric depth, and the unmistakable energy of a band channeling isolation and ambition into heavy, triumphant metal. Standout songs like No Cure, The Chosen One, and Blades demonstrate the quartet's ability to balance epic elements with a sophisticated melodic structure. This limited vinyl edition from Lost Realm Records brings the album back to it's more-than-deserved format, offering fans a chance to experience the full sonic weight of Crillson's vision. The release celebrates the band's pioneering spirit from the Alaskan frontier and their enduring contribution to underground heavy metal. For fans of: JAG PANZER, LIEGE LORD, VIRGIN STEELE, MANOWAR, HAMMERFALL, OMEN.
