Deliverance – Learn

Originally released in 1993, Learn marked the fifth studio release by L.A.-based metal pioneers Deliverance. Departing from their earlier fast-paced thrash roots, Learn showcased a brooding, mid-paced sound characterized by heavy, intentional riffs, distinctive bass lines, and soaring vocals. Jimmy Brown's vocal delivery on this album evokes comparisons to legends like Geoff Tate (Queensrÿche), Eric Clayton (Saviour Machine), and even the progressive flair of Dream Theater, yet the band remains distinctly Deliverance, creating a soundscape uniquely their own.Learn is a masterclass in epic, progressive heavy metal. With it's thick, crunchy textures and deliberate pacing, the album invites listeners to savor every moment of the journey. This isn't an album that rushes to the finish line-it's one to be fully experienced, relishing the depth and artistry in each track. For many fans, Learn represents a pinnacle in Deliverance's catalog, with Retroactive Records CEO Matthew Hunt describing it as a greatest hits album in it's own right," where every song stands out as exceptional and timeless. With the original black vinyl edition long sold out, fans now have a second chance to own this iconic album, this time on stunning orange vinyl. Limited to just 200 units, this special reissue includes a 12x12 full-color lyrics insert and features updated and enhanced artwork.
