Dude Cervantes – Dreamers

Lauded by press and print outlets from Rolling Stone to Playboy Mexico, the artist formally known as Dude Cervantes is a bonafide guitar hero, igniting Howlin Rain, MRS. HENRY, and Chest Fever with his blazing 6 string freakouts. Dreamers is his first studio album, and sophomore release following up the self-recorded LoFi debut All By Myself. This album is an exploration of his watermark sound on Blind Owl Records. Flowing from song to song, Cervantes calls to mind the alt-rock vigor of Oasis and Cage the Elephant, while evoking the bittersweet blues of The Rolling Stones' Tattoo You. Like Eric Clapton's first solo outing in 1970, Dude calls upon his tour buddies to join him in the studio featuring members of Howlin Rain, Sacri Monti, Sure Fire Soul Ensemble, and MRS. HENRY. Recorded and mixed to 2 tape, the record is chock full of guitars, strings, horns, harmonies, delicate intimacy, and plenty of rock n roll savage.Dreamers is written from the perspective of a hopeful quixotic, and represents a leap forward in the songwriting and maturity of Cervantes as an artist. The 11 song album has become the stepping stone to his own backing group, The Panchos, whom he describes as a "classic barebones four-piece muscle band channeling the likes of Crazy Horse and The Pixies." Featuring Dylan Donovan of Sacri Monti, and the powerhouse rhythm section of Justin de la Vega and Ryan Grenda, you can expect to see this quartet on the international stage soon in support of Cervantes and his boundless creative force. "What can't this guy play? He oozes Rock & Roll swagger and few use it better." - NBC San Diego.Dreamers makes like a modern Trout Mask Replica - a bold statement of experimental rock." - Glide Magazine"A shot of guitar laced adrenaline and a glimpse into the live bombast of Dude Cervantes and The Panchos." - Psychedelic Baby Magazine"
