Jason Scott & The High Heat – American Grin

John Deer Green. Jason Scott & The High Heat create a sound that's too loud for folk and too textured for red dirt, carving their own path in the world of Americana and Heartland roots-rock. Based in groove, grit, and authenticity, the band is led by Jason Scott, a songwriter whose pentecostal upbringing, years spent as a preacher-in-training, and eventual crisis of faith gave him a storyteller's edge and a unique perspective on life, love, and modern struggles. Their music blends heartfelt storytelling with dynamic, sweeping soundscapes, creating a distinct sonic identity that resonates deeply with fans and critics alike. Their debut album, Castle Rock, introduced the world to their genre defying sound, drawing comparisons to legends like Tom Petty and Jason Isbell, while their live performances have earned them recognition as one of the most exciting bands in the Americana scene. With accolades from NPR, The Boot, BBC Radio, and more, Jason Scott & The High Heat continue to push the boundaries of Americana and Roots music, blending sharp songwriting with engaging live performances. The band's highly anticipated new album, American Grin, is set for release on March 28, promising to further showcase their evolving sound and storytelling prowess.
