Lower Heaven – Ashes

Originally released in 2008, Ashes is the remarkable debut album from Los Angeles' Lower Heaven, a hidden gem that blends towering shoegaze guitars, post-rock dynamics and haunting melodies into a deeply immersive listening experience. Balancing moments of crushing intensity with striking beauty and restraint, the album unfolds through shimmering textures, expansive arrangements and an atmosphere that constantly shifts between melancholy and hope.Drawing subtle inspiration from the darker side of British alternative rock while forging a sound entirely of their own, Lower Heaven crafted an album that has quietly earned cult status among fans of emotionally charged, atmospheric music. More than fifteen years after it's original release, Ashes stands as a timeless and criminally overlooked record whose influence feels more relevant than eve amid the resurgence of shoegaze and guitar-driven dream rock. For the first time ever on vinyl, Dust and Memory proudly presents Ashes as a limited edition colored vinyl, giving this long-unavailable album the deluxe physical edition it has always deserved.
