Matthew & the Atlas – Temple

Vinyl LP pressing. 2016 release. Bringing together the naked emotion of Sufjan Stevens and the melancholy of Communion's Bear's Den, Temple is a cathartic expression of Matthew Hegarty's own fears and feelings, bound together by an honesty that makes it bracingly easy to connect to. The album took just three months: Sketched out in Hegarty's UK home studio, and recorded in Nashville with Brian Holl and Eric Hillman, electronic folk act turned production duo, Foreign Fields - they crafted one of the first astounding albums of the year so far. Includes 'Graveyard Parade,' 'On A Midnight Street,' 'When The Light Hits The Water' and more.
