Pascal Schumacher – Sol

SOL is the first solo work by the Luxembourgpercussionist, composer and vibraphonist PascalSchumacher.Already in his childhood, he chose the vibraphoneas an exotic and fascinating instrument, as it'sshiny plates and step-shaped tubes sound metallicand, at the same time, soft and ethereal whenstruck with a mallet.A trance-like state is created in the listener, whomSchumacher skillfully abducts from everyday lifethrough filigree played original compositions andcovers by Chilly Gonzales, Ryuichi Sakamoto,Jarvis Cocker, and Mike Oldfield. SOL is a uniquesound spectacle.
