Once Upon a Time is the seventh studio album by Scottish rock band Simple Minds, originally released on 21 October 1985 by Virgin Records. Mass success looked increasingly attainable for Simple Minds during the early-to-mid 1980s, with albums such as New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84) and Sparkle In The Rain reaping significant chart returns in the U.K. and Europe.
