Within Temptation – The Silent Force

In 1996, Within Temptation built a world out of darkness and light: symphonic, heavy, and impossible to ignore. Thirty years later, that world is still expanding. Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation was founded by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. After their first doom metal recordings, they were developing their music to a more accessible symphonic style, becoming known to the worldwide public. Within Temptation's 2004 album The Silent Force was the first record to feature Ruud Jolie on lead guitar. The powerful and beatific vocals by Sharon den Adel are full of passion and emotion, blending beautifully with the orchestrations. The Silent Force's first single Stand My Ground is a bombastic composition with impressive vocals that stays true to the band's rocking sound. The up-tempo guitars and melodic keyboards make this a must-have for everyone who loves symphonic metal - a masterful collection of songs that still sounds fresh and versatile. To mark three decades of music that has moved millions across every continent, this 'WT 30 Years' anniversary edition comes as a limited edition of 1,000 individually numbered copies on half blue and half white colored vinyl and includes a poster.
